Raaz Reboot is the fourth installment of Raaz Series, and I must say as the franchise increasing, the quality of content going to downwards. Raaz Reboot is that type of horror movie which completely fails to haunt you even makes you laugh throughout the film.
Interesting naa a horror movie with comedy elements, Yahi to Talent Hai Bollywood ka. Bhatt Camp still living in the era where creaking doors, sounds from under the bed, some black shadows are enough to create a fearful scene, Please grow up dear.
- Dracula’s home Romania
- Emraan in man bun hairstyle
- Traditional ways to create fear
- Bad acting skills and cheap dialogue writing
Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) and Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) are a married couple who move to Romania for better Job. There seems to be something bothering Rehaan, after trying to talk with Rehaan over their issue, Shaina is left wondering what secret her husband is hiding from her.
Soon after moving, Shaina starts to find weird spirits in the house and is convinced that house is haunted. Rehaan refuses to believe on this; then Shaina runs into her ex, Aditya (Emraan Hashmi). He convinces her that he believes her and also that he can help her get rid of it.
Will Aditya help Shaina from getting rid of the evil spirit? What is the ‘raaz’ that Rehaan is hiding?
Story is poorly written or rather I would say copied from different films. The writer had not done any homework on the writing which frequently shows in the film.
You can relate every scene in the film with another movie scene, like
- Ex-boyfriend came into life from 1920 Evil returns
- Possed body flying in the air from Shaapit or 1920 evil returns
- Chanting of Mantras in the last from Ragini MMS 2
- Secret in the Past from Raaz
I am still confused that what is film all about, a horror one or a revenge saga, writer has used cheap dialogues and old tricks to make scene a horror one, but trust me 5-year kids will also laugh by these methods.
Film practices techniques like beast sound, ravens, creaking door and windows, eyes-in-sink, blood from the laptop, etc. to frightened the audience, Means “Bhaiya Hum Kya HUTIYE Hai.”
One more thing is it necessary to include last moment Mantra chanting scene every time and at that moment suddenly Bhoot will become Tharki and start shouting like F*ck Me F*ck Me, not everytime yaar.
3 Characters in the film which had created this whole mess, lets screw them one by one:
Kriti Kharbanda makes her debut with this film and she fails to impress much. Her act as the possessed person is amusing and at times funny. She Should learn many skills to make a position in the Industry.
Gaurav Arora is not exceptional but not very bad either. There is not much content in his character to perform, but he overacted too much especially in last scene where he was saying that Bhagwan will going to help him and all.
Emraan Hashmi is looking same as some of his previous films. His look with a man-bun as the bad boy suits him a lot. As a negative character he has done a satisfactory act but sorry this can’t be enough to save the film.
Vikram Bhatt is continuously making worst films; he is not giving his dedication to the direction skill which affects the image of Bhatt Camp. It’s time to take a break and make something original instead of making another sequel.
If a horror film giving laughter to the public then what would be worst than this for a Director. If we analyze the whole film, First half is average and can be bearable, but film went into flush from the second half, this is so predictive and boring part of the film.
The cinematography looks good with the icy Romanian charm and the plush houses with antique furniture.
Music is as usual good and pleasant to ears. This is common for Bhatt Camp.
Background score too has no innovations as such. We are now so familiar with these spooky sounds that we could almost predict what comes when.
Raaz Reboot is the worst film of Raaz franchise; it is only enjoyable if you leave your mind at home and then going to watch it. So Predictive Plot, no sex element, few unrequired adult talks and 3 kiss scenes, this is all about Raaz Reboot.
Strictly No for this, “No means No.” Go and Watch Pink a extraordinary film.
